NEW YORK, October 2020
DiDi, one of the world’s largest ridesharing services with over 550 million users globally, recently confirmed their plans to begin operating in Peru together with Emptor.
Emptor’s partnership with DiDi began in 2018 when Emptor supported the company’s rapid and safe scaling across the region. Peru is the fifth country to launch with Emptor’s services, following the successful launches of Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica.
Emptor’s automated background check and risk validation services have enabled DiDi to scale operations quickly, keeping up with regional market demands for ridesharing services. Emptor’s processes have also improved safety and accuracy of driver onboarding by flagging applications that do not come back with a clean record.
As part of the background check process, Emptor will help validate the recently launched Labor Certificate (Certificado Único Laboral). This certificate, created by the Peruvian Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTPE), helps Peruvians easily verify themselves for employment amid the COVID-19 crisis. This is one of Emptor’s latest product releases, built to quickly accommodate changing country regulations. Currently, Emptor is working to release a solution to verify ‘Edictos Judiciales’ to continue improving the offering in Peru.
Emptor is committed to building partnerships that can scale across borders and changing times. Learn more about how Emptor is supporting the growth of the continent’s digital economy by helping companies scale safely by reaching out to info@www.emptor.io or reading more on our blog.
